Poetry pharmacy was a brand that advocates to enjoy daily life with poems, which summarized different verses for six emotional problems and sold targeted sets of poems by means of the consultation – prescription method. We tried to combine the function of drugs with the literariness, fineness and retro feelings of poems. We broke the conventional VI design that ran through the entire layout in one form. Instead, we refined the indicative elements of medicine and poem separately, which were then scattershot embodied into words, symbols and pictures to form a unique visual experience. In almost all traditional medicine designs, "arrows", "tablets", "human bodies" and tough color block segmentation were adopted. We incorporated the pointed language into Chinese and English fonts, without changing the original aesthetic feeling and recognizably of the text; Human body and the pointed P (Portry) were applied as brand symbols to different occasions. Six types of sentiments were condensed into six transparent pills with different landscape images. One might feel relieved when reading a poem, which was communicated by using a large number of landscape pictures. After addition of pictures, the pills looked like gems and sweet lozenges so that one could not help but read aloud. On the whole, retro and ugly—chic style were preferred to establish people's associations with traditional Chinese and Western medicines, and try to make the slightly "old school" habit of reading poetry become a trend again. With respect to experience, the poems were processed as PVC entries and placed into transparent capsules and medicine bottles, which could be placed at the bedside or in a bag to change the traditional habit of reading poems. In addition, the poems were packed in aluminum foil bags commonly used for fresh-keeping snacks, indicating that those poems could be "taken".
